Marielle Garcia | Bio

Marielle García is a self-taught artist with a great fascination for the human figure. The primary quality of her work is the handling of the gesture as a plastic expression and as a universal language capable of transmitting happiness, sadness, naiveté, disbelief, and even intimacy, which is manifested in his predilection for capturing the eyes.

Her first approach to art happened with some of the most important Puebla painters. She has grown, artistically speaking, under the tutelage of her father, the renowned painter Fidel García. Marielle had her first exhibition at age 17 at the Watercolor Museum of Toluca, with the recognition of connoisseurs. Since then she has already obtained a vast list of individual and collective exhibitions.

The hyperrealistic faces that the artist elaborates with masterful technique focus on the eyes, inviting the viewer to live a more personal experience with the work, involving the observer in its forms, shadows, volumes, and proportions.
