Edgar Vazquez | Bio

At the age of 17, he joined a group of watercolorists and discovered infinite possibilities. Later he studied a degree in Visual Arts, with a specialty in Plastic Arts, from the Faculty of Fine Arts, of the Autonomous University of Querétaro. He has taken workshops and graduated with the teachers Santiago Carbonell, Jordi Boldó, Victor Cuadro and Jorge Barriendos. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Technical Planning Commission of the State Fund for Culture and the Arts of Querétaro. He also teaches workshops and gives painting consultancies in various techniques.

He has had more than 10 individual exhibitions and has participated in around 50 collective exhibitions. He also has publications in different catalogs such as the "Queretanos Artists Catalog. One hundred years of Art in Querétaro ”

In his production process, he uses various materials and techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels and charcoal. According to the artist, his inspiration comes from his life, as well as from the physical and metaphysical world. “I am a man passionate about life and its manifestations. I dedicate my thought to creation, and to the transformation of my experiences and fantasies into works of art. ”
